Who dis?

A lil' bit about me

Hiya everyone, I'm your internet neighbor who's here to nerd out about his interests! I'm a lot of things: definitely an alien (AuDHD), with a little sparkle of magic (queer) who got nerfed so I don't take over the world (disabled). I spend my days studying, working in several escape rooms, journaling, designing video games & having several hobbies where I consume media (like gaming & reading).

I have been gaming since I was a toddler (according to my dad, my first game was The Pink Panther: Passport to Peril and I was three years old when I first played it) and had some semblance of wanting to design video games since I was eight years old (I sketched a lot of game ideas & fansites in MS Paint & Powerpoint because I didn't know how to code) but didn't actually study game development until my twenties. I have a lot of game ideas but have a hard time to sticking to one (thank you mr ADHD) so I try not to announce too many things in case I stop working on it xD;

"What kind of games do you want to make?" there isn't a single genre I want to make a game for, I'm inspired to make games that are similar to what I enjoy playing - a lot of visual novels, old-school shooter games, horror games that are puzzle-centric, turn-based RPGs and obviously, point-n-click games (the first genre I ever played is also my favourite). A lot of the ideas I have right now are horror-centric or have some horror motifs as it is my favourite literary genre, and I find it really fun to write!

What I write about on this website

In all honesty, I write about anything I think about too hard - while video games & reading/writing are my main hobbies, I consume a lot of media & information and I love analyzing what I have consumed. Incidentally, this website turned into a mini-Wikipedia where I just write what I know & think, I hope to fill it up with many pages & articles possible. My goal for 2026 is to write more analysis for video games from a game developer's perspective, and I hope I keep that promise!

How I (currently) work on my games

Every game idea that I have (where I have an idea for basic mechanics & the bare minimum story) is written down in its own notebook, which essentially means every notebook is its own Game Design Document. I use B5 spiralled notebooks because I think it's the perfect size to write in (not too small like A5 where a page fills up too fast, and not clumsily large like an A4) – when I finish working on a game, the leftover pages are used for a new game to make sure all the pages get used up in a notebook. Which means one notebook can end up having several smaller games or one single large game that took the entire space.

After figuring out the mechanics & engine for the game, I start tinkering a bit with the code and break down every mechanic to its simplest form – it can be as simple as making a functional save system that works for the game, or satisfying controls for the main gameloop. This is basically where I'm a bit stuck because I'm afraid to test too much in case I'm doing things wrong, but how would I know how to make things right if I don't try? ...i need to make a website for my game development journey so I'd hold myself accountable.

Current projects:

Shelf Life - a short visual novel that talks about death and the mistreatment of children in society.
??? - a classic DOOM-style FPS with a lot of melee weapons and sneaking & parkour mechanics.
YouTube channel - I want to make a YT channel where I make video essays.
