My journey with the franchise:

When I say I grew up with this series, I really mean it – I played the original Sims game around 2001-2002. I wasn't very good at the game, an objective fact if you're considering I didn't know how to build walls (so everyone just lived their hippie dreams on the dirty grass) & the money would run out before I could blink because I didn't know how to get my lil sims jobs. But I had a lot of fun with it, especially since I mainly made beloved fictional characters!

With the Sims 2 (started playing the first few months it came out), I matured & learned from my mistakes, my sims thrived & my house building skills improved! ...After four households that didn't work out too well (one sim got major PTSD after his wife & baby died in a fire that I didn't prevent, good lesson on mortality - but I was here to play dolls, not get life lessons, so I made a different household right after(yes, I felt bad for him, even if he is a lil pixel guy)) I got the hang of how the game is played. I have been a family-oriented / generational player since then (I didn't even know those terms) & still prevelant to how I play The Sims 4 (my least favourite game in the franchise, literally had to explain to a classmate that I'm in an 'abusive relationship' with the game after he saw me play it a couple of days after ranting to him how badly it was programmed (we're in a game development course together).

Now to the present, I have played every major Sims title before the next one released, but The Sims 2 always had a special place in my heart, making me return to the game time and time again (currently trying to play it on the Steam Deck – doable, but some of the controls can be tricky), even after playing so many other games in this lifetime.

Who is looking for Bella Goth?

The answer – everyone, apperantly, except her own husband. But wait, who is Bella & what does she have to do with The Sims 2?

Most people are unaware of it, but the game actually has a lot of weird lore - from alien abductions with mpreg overtones to reincarnations of the entire cast of Romeo & Juliet, there are a lot of stories within the world of The Sims 2. They had to populate the worlds somehow, and I guess the creative team behind the game
